Recap

Rong Yu blinked. “Using someone else’s chopsticks is unhygienic.”

What good would it do to tell him that? Did he really expect him to wash chopsticks with his powers?

Yan Zhao, who had been thinking this, produced a pair of wooden chopsticks using his wood powers.

Yan Zhao: “…”

What exactly did he use these powers for before? Why was he so adept at this?

Rong Yu felt greatly satisfied, his earlier displeasure suddenly fading.

Good, still my obedient son.

___

Rong Yu, holding the wooden chopsticks, sat on the edge of the bed and slurped the instant noodles from the bucket, not caring about his image at all.

They were like an old married couple. Rong Yu could still be elegant and calm in front of outsiders, but in front of Yan Zhao, he was casual and down-to-earth.

However, he was good-looking, so even this way of eating wasn’t annoying, only cute.

Yan Zhao watched this scene numbly, unable to imagine that this was the Demon King who used to be arrogant and haughty with every gesture.

Had he suffered a lot in the small worlds? To be tempered to this extent.

A trace of regret arose in Yan Zhao’s heart.

It was only after he figured out that Rong Yu wasn’t the culprit who disrupted the order of the great world and created countless space-time loopholes, and after killing the real culprit, that he rushed to the small world where Rong Yu was, wanting to save the Demon King from punishment.

He didn’t know how many punishment worlds the Demon King had gone through before, thinking it was not too late to mend the situation.

But seeing the arrogant and delicate Demon King compromising with life like this, he felt an indescribable guilt and… pity.

Pity for a Demon King.

He was really crazy.

Even if the space-time loopholes in the great world weren’t caused by Rong Yu, it was an indisputable fact that he, as the Child of Destiny, defected and almost destroyed World 6666.

The crime of defying fate alone was enough for the God of Fate to judge him.

Resisting one’s predetermined fate should be considered innocent for an individual who was controlled by fate but developed self-awareness. But what if the price of one person’s successful defiance of fate was the destruction of billions of lives in a world?

Then defying fate was the original sin.

The Child of Destiny was born with the favor of the world’s destiny, so he should shoulder the responsibility of maintaining the stability of the world.

Humans had laws, and gods had rules. As the God of Law Enforcement, the main god needed absolute justice. He shouldn’t have a trace of compassion for this Demon King who defied fate.

After the injustice that caused the turmoil in the great world was cleared, the Demon King should end the punishment of the BE world. But he still had to return to World 6666, complete the predetermined fate line, and save the collapsing world, in order to completely redeem himself.

The purpose of Yan Zhao’s trip was originally to bring the Demon King Rong Yu back to World 6666 and personally supervise him to change the BE line of World 6666.

If it were the main god who initially pursued the Demon King, he would naturally enforce the law impartially, without any personal feelings.

But now… Yan Zhao hesitated.

In the pursuit of hundreds of worlds, he seemed to have developed an indescribable feeling for the flamboyant and arrogant Demon King.

Yan Zhao didn’t understand what it was.

The divinity of the main god only had universal love, no personal feelings. He didn’t know why he repeatedly showed mercy to the Demon King, letting him escape from his hands again and again; he didn’t know why his heart pounded when Rong Yu tricked him into kissing him during his escape; he didn’t know why he didn’t kill the Demon King’s soul according to the law when he captured him, but instead gave him a break and threw him into a small world.

Was he really willing to personally supervise the Demon King to obey fate and stay with the so-called princess of the Celestial Clan?

At the thought of this possibility, a sense of frustration and anger suddenly rose in Yan Zhao’s heart.

He was reluctant.

But this was the fate line stipulated by the law.

How could the God of Law Enforcement take the lead in questioning the law?

Yan Zhao was conflicted in his heart. Until he teleported to World 5627, he hadn’t figured out what to do.

As soon as he teleported over, well, there was no need to struggle anymore.

At the beginning of finding out the real culprit, in order to save the situation in time, Yan Zhao’s main body went to chase and kill the real culprit, while also splitting a wisp of his divine soul and throwing it into World 5627 where Rong Yu was currently located, wanting to protect Rong Yu who had all his powers sealed.

He gave this divine soul an order to absolutely protect the Child of Destiny.

Knowing that the Demon King was completely innocent, Yan Zhao certainly couldn’t sit idly by and let him suffer any more grievances.

In a hurry, Yan Zhao set the identity of the strongest person in the world for the divine soul and threw it into the small world, while his main body was busy killing the real culprit who disrupted the great world.

World 5627 was experiencing an apocalypse, where the number of zombies far exceeded that of humans, giving them an absolute advantage. Yan Zhao’s setting only had five words – the strongest in the world, so a Zombie Emperor identity was automatically generated.

But he didn’t expect the setting to be too simple, turning him into a baby Zombie Emperor.

He became a level one zombie, with growth potential and upgradeable, and the drop-off point was in a closed warehouse.

At first, he was really unconscious, acting entirely on instinct.

With the order to protect the Child of Destiny, even if the divine soul turned into the lowest level zombie, it suppressed its instinct and didn’t bite Rong Yu, but followed him all the way. Yan Zhao wasn’t surprised.

What he didn’t expect was that the divine soul, as soon as it gained a little consciousness, slept with Rong Yu.

Did he write this in the instructions he set? ? ?

What he didn’t expect was that Rong Yu didn’t resist and cooperated the whole time.

After leveling up, it even lasted for three days and three nights.

That was when Yan Zhao’s main body came over.

As soon as he finished killing the real culprit, his main body went to World 5627 and merged with the Zombie Emperor, the incarnation of the divine soul fragment. He had been struggling all the way, wondering whether to send the Demon King back to World 6666 to complete the fate line.

It took time for the main body and the divine soul to merge. After Yan Zhao arrived in World 5627, he hadn’t yet received the surrounding information and contacted his life-bound artifact, the Red Gold Sun Ring, in the darkness.

At that time, the Blood Jade Bracelet was being confined in the little black room.

It would see mosaics when there were images below the neck, and when the Demon King and Lord God were completely doing it… it could only stay in the little black room, blocking all sounds and images.

The little black room was a two-way shield. It couldn’t hear the movement outside, and Rong Yu couldn’t hear its voice either.

Out of boredom, the Blood Jade Bracelet suddenly heard a voice.

“Red Gold Sun Ring.”

The Blood Jade Bracelet was in a daze and didn’t recognize who this voice was calling for a while.

But it soon recognized that it was Lord God’s voice and was startled: “Lord God! You, how come, you recovered your memory?”

Without power, Lord God couldn’t contact it.

Yan Zhao said in a low voice: “My main body has descended into this world. Rong Yu’s crime is wrong, and the punishment needs to be stopped.”

Blood Jade Bracelet: “…”

Lord God, it seems that you are the one being punished in these worlds…

Yan Zhao continued to ask: “Was he wronged?”

Blood Jade Bracelet: “He almost massacred the city.”

The Demon King massacred all the high-level zombies in the entire city to raise you, have you forgotten!

Eh, no, the Demon King said that Lord God and his timeline were different.

So how much did this Lord God remember now? Did he know that he had been entangled with the Demon King for several worlds?

Yan Zhao was silent for a moment: “He is indeed not one to suffer losses.”

The Blood Jade Bracelet stammered: “Lord God, do you want to tell the Demon King that your main body consciousness has recovered?” And then you two can better synchronize your timelines?

Yan Zhao: “Doesn’t he already know? You are bound to his soul, he can hear you speak.”

Yan Zhao didn’t intend to hide the fact that his true body had descended from Rong Yu. He was going to take Rong Yu back anyway.

Blood Jade Bracelet: “He he he doesn’t know! I I I’m in the confinement room now, we can’t hear each other.”

Yan Zhao paused for a moment: “Is he in the bathroom?”

Blood Jade Bracelet: “No no no! Because you, you are doing…”

Doing what? Yan Zhao didn’t understand.

But he soon knew the answer. The divine soul completely merged at this time. He closed his eyes and accepted all the memories. When he woke up, he found himself holding the young man in his arms.

The young man’s snow-white and delicate skin was covered with an alluring blush, and he was resting his eyes on his arm, his eyelashes like two small brushes.

Yan Zhao: “…”

He must have opened it the wrong way.

All the previous worries were now blank in his mind.

Yan Zhao had no idea how to deal with the mess in front of him.

Imagine this: after chasing Rong Yu for so long and throwing him into a small world as punishment, he later discovered that Rong Yu was wronged. Then, he sent his divine spirit to protect him, only for the divine spirit to sleep with him. Afterward, his true self wanted to pull him back to complete a romance line with someone else.

… How could anything be so absurdly immoral?

Yan Zhao had completely given up on the idea of “impartial law enforcement.”

If fairness was like this, he wanted to bend the rules.

But how should he bend them?

What exactly was their relationship now?

The appearance of the Zombie King was completely different from his true form. Rong Yu likely didn’t know that the zombie he casually picked up was him, so why did he choose the name “Yan Zhao”?

Yan Zhao was the Lord God’s divine name, so after hundreds of worlds entangled together, it wasn’t strange for Rong Yu to know it.

Naming an ugly zombie after him… Yan Zhao could only assume that Rong Yu was venting his anger.

But why was he so kind to a zombie?

All these chaotic thoughts ceased when Rong Yu woke up, and Yan Zhao hesitated only for a second before deciding to pretend nothing had happened and to keep things as they were.

He was confused now, unsure how to face things in his Lord God identity. Did he like Rong Yu? Did Rong Yu like him?

How could that be? They were enemies who had fought across hundreds of worlds. It was already good enough if Rong Yu didn’t hate him.

The incident between his divine spirit and Rong Yu was merely an accident.

But why had such an accident happened?

Before his true form arrived, everything the divine spirit did was out of instinct.

That newly sentient zombie had deeply understood a word called love. It had tried hard to practice pronouncing this word, intending to say it to Rong Yu, but before it could speak, it was absorbed by his true self.

Love.

That was something the Lord God had never understood.

Perhaps he already did, but he just didn’t dare admit it.

Seeing that Yan Zhao didn’t want to reveal his restored memories, the blood jade bracelet could only go along with its owner to help hide it. It didn’t dare to communicate with him telepathically, fearing that the Great Demon King would overhear unless it returned to its “small dark room” state.

But that would mean the Great Demon King would end up in bed with the Lord God, who had regained his memories… Judging from the situation, the restored Lord God probably wouldn’t cooperate with that. And if it actually came to that, would the Lord God even have the mind to communicate with it?

Yan Zhao’s acting skills weren’t that great, or rather, he found it hard to stay calm and pretend in front of Rong Yu.

He tried his best to play the zombie he originally was, stiffly carrying Rong Yu to the car, thinking he was flawless, though he was full of holes.

In his memory, he and the demon king had always been locked in combat, never in love, unable to restrain himself from cold remarks.

But every time he had his moment of verbal victory, a wave of regret would well up in his heart.

Perhaps these were the emotions left by that body.

That divine spirit fell in love with the demon king; he was only influenced by it, Yan Zhao told himself.

Is that so? a voice questioned.

— You know well that it was your influence that caused the spirit to love him, to possess him.

— Nonsense.

— Nonsense? How could a fragment of a soul influence the Lord God? Why do you feel a pang seeing him eat these things?

Yan Zhao’s body trembled.

“Hey, what are you spacing out about?” Rong Yu’s call brought Yan Zhao back to his senses.

Yan Zhao lowered his eyes.

“You’re going to sleep next door, right? Take out the trash on your way,” Rong Yu handed him the empty instant noodle cup.

This time, Yan Zhao didn’t respond with sarcasm. His actions were upright, and he didn’t even feel annoyed in his heart.

Perhaps he could use the small world to see his own heart more clearly.

“Actually,” Yan Zhao murmured.

“I don’t want to go to the other room.”

Rong Yu lazily lifted his eyelids and chuckled softly.

“So do you want to sleep in the wall?”

Yan Zhao: “…”

Lolll Sun, you better not think RY is some innocent little thing. You know he’s gonna chew you up and out for ages now, right 😂 but oooo Sun is working on coming to terms with himself now! Guess the Sun who came to RY’s og world is the last Sun who’s utterly and embarrassingly head-over-heels in love with RY? Since they seem to start with each other’s ends, kinda. Or something @_@
