Chapter 110: True Gold Withstands The Test of Fire

Recap

“In 7012 interstellar world, Rongrong asked me to call him by his nickname Little Lotus, saying that it was given by his ex-boyfriend – of course, it wasn’t Ji Qingyu’s boyfriend Feng Xing. At that time, in my understanding, Rongrong’s only ex-boyfriend was Gu Minghuai,” Yan Zhao stated. “But in world 4082, I only called him Little Fish (Xiao Yu’Er). Who was the one who called him Little Lotus at the beginning?”

“Law, you blocked Red Gold Sun Ring from communicating with me because you didn’t want me to know what happened to Rongrong in the various punishment worlds. Then you didn’t let me check the past of 6666 world because you didn’t want me to know… what?”

“It’s not hate that keeps Rongrong’s soul lamp burning and keeps him alive. The approach of resolving hatred was wrong from the beginning.”

“It’s love, right?” Yan Zhao said softly.

“I should go to his world. I should love him.”

The night was silent, and all was still. There was no light in the entire world. The waves surged, and after the high tide, countless small fish and shrimp were pushed ashore. A gentle evening breeze blew, creating a peaceful scene.

Suddenly, a red light appeared in the distant sky. In the blink of an eye, billowing heat waves rushed in, waking the sleeping creatures.

Some had no chance to wake up and died instantly in their sleep.

“The Great Demon King is here! Everyone run!” the shrimp soldiers and crab generals shouted at the top of their lungs.

After saying this, they were engulfed by the flames and evaporated.

The panicked creatures rushed towards the sea, trying to escape the heat wave behind them. The sea, which was at high tide, sensed something was wrong and immediately began to ebb. Even the wind stopped in fright.

No matter how hard all living beings tried to escape, they couldn’t match the speed of the spreading flames. The sky fire and sea quickly approached. The vegetation withered and dissipated instantly. The fish, shrimp, crabs, and shellfish that had no time to escape were mercilessly engulfed by the flames. Not even ashes were left, let alone the creatures themselves being roasted. The flying birds in the sky were affected by the overwhelming fire; their feathers trembled, and they disappeared into the world before they could even let out a scream. The sea surface within a radius of ten miles was engulfed by the fire. The seawater and the creatures in the sea evaporated completely, exposing the dry and cracked earth. It was like a scene from purgatory.

A lifetime, as long as sixty billion springs and autumns, was as short as a demon king’s thought.

In the eyes of outsiders, this might seem like an inhumane and deliberate massacre. However, the creatures in the 6666th world knew that this was just the Demon King going out for a walk.

He never intended to kill them, but he never cared about them either. He simply didn’t restrain his flames, which were powerful enough to destroy them all.

People don’t care about the life and death of ants, and all things were like ants to the devil. He wouldn’t restrain himself for them; they were simply unlucky.

Either run for your life or die.

The flames continued to spread, and the crimson sea of fire nearly engulfed the deep blue water. The sea receded for hundreds of miles in an instant. The Dragon King in the deep sea finally couldn’t sit still.

A blue dragon leaped out of the sea, put ten layers of protective covers on itself, and stood at a safe distance of a thousand miles to ensure it wouldn’t be burned to death before it had time to speak.

He transformed into a blue-clothed man with dragon horns on his head, bowed, and said nervously: “May the Demon King calm himself.”

The sea of fire stopped burning, gathered together, and condensed into a peerless human form.

The bright red flames turned into a red dress, and slender and fair wrists stretched out from the sleeves. The young man had black hair hanging loose, snow-white skin, red lips, a red lotus mark blooming between his eyebrows, and a blood-red tear mole under his red eyes. He was enchanting and magnificent, bright and radiant.

He possessed the most beautiful appearance in the world and the most powerful power in the world. Even the heavens had to avoid his edge. He could be said to be the darling of heaven.

It’s just that the world’s love was given to a demon who had no love for the world. It was truly a great misfortune.

Rong Yu looked at the Dragon King of the East China Sea and said with a smile: “I’m not angry; I just went out for a walk. What do you want me to calm down about?”

Cold sweat dripped from the forehead of the Dragon King of the East China Sea.

This was even scarier!

Every time the Demon King traveled, it would inevitably cause the destruction of living beings, but he truly wasn’t aiming to kill. He was just going for a walk, but he didn’t expect them to be so weak that they couldn’t withstand the flames he passed by.

But to ask the devil to be more restrained? Did they dare to mention it? They were not as strong as him, yet they wanted him to accommodate them. There was no such reason in this world where the weak were prey to the strong.

Besides, the self-willed and self-respecting Demon King wouldn’t listen. The Demon King never cared about protecting the weak. If they truly angered him, he wouldn’t hesitate to destroy their entire sea.

“Or,” the wicked demon taunted, “perhaps you’d rather forbid me from going for walks and imprison me instead?”

The Dragon King of the East China Sea, desperate to survive, exclaimed, “No, no! I wouldn’t dare!” Even with a hundred times the courage, he wouldn’t dare control the Demon King. He valued his life too much.

“You’re free to roam the world as you please,” the Dragon King said, wiping away sweat. “But… there’s really nothing interesting in my East China Sea. The scenery in the West Sea is much better; perhaps you could visit there next time.”

It’s not my fault my friend, the Dragon King of the West Sea, is dead. I’m so sorry!

“But I’ve already visited the West, North, and South Seas,” Rong Yu replied casually. “It was the Dragon King of the West Sea who suggested I come here. He mentioned your impressive treasure collection in the Dragon Palace and the renowned hospitality of the East China Sea. Since I’m here, you wouldn’t let me leave empty-handed, would you?”

The Dragon King’s fleeting apology to the Dragon King of the West Sea vanished.

That bastard from the West Sea brought the Demon King here!

This incident revealed just how fragile the friendship between the four Dragon Kings truly was.

“Very well, very well,” the Dragon King of the East China Sea said with a heavy heart. “You may accompany me to the Dragon Palace treasury and choose whatever you desire.” The Dragon Clan loved collecting treasures, and he was no exception. As a dedicated collector, parting with any of his possessions was agonizing.

But I have no choice. I must spend money to avoid disaster. Hopefully, the Demon King will take the treasure and leave the East China Sea alone for thousands of years!

Rong Yu seemed surprised. “Choose? Shouldn’t everything here be dedicated to me?”

The Dragon King’s eyes widened, and he nearly coughed up blood.

Could there be a race greedier than the Dragon race?

Oh, wait, there is. Demons.

This is too much! The Dragon King clenched his fists, ready to shout in desperation, “I’ll fight you!”

Suddenly, a flame flickered at Rong Yu’s fingertips. He tossed it into the sea, instantly drying up a mile-wide area. “There are so many treasures,” he said casually. “I’ll take them back and enjoy them slowly. It might take me thousands of years to go through them all. Now, if you’ll excuse me.”

The Dragon King was left speechless.

In the end, the Dragon King, with a broken heart, led Rong Yu to the treasury. He watched helplessly as Rong Yu plundered his treasures and then respectfully escorted the Demon King back.

That arrogant, destructive demon! he thought bitterly. And the heavens do nothing!

Rong Yu turned and walked barefoot on the scorched earth. The once-beautiful beach was now a desolate wasteland, devoid of life, its surface temperature so high that anything stepping on it would instantly evaporate. Yet, with each step, lotus flowers bloomed beneath his feet. Untouched by dust, he was the only vibrant flame amidst the barren ashes.

Rong Yu took the treasure back to his space, leaving only a shining dragon ball. He tossed it casually in his hand and remarked with disinterest, “It’s said that the dragon ball is bright, but it doesn’t compare to the radiance of my flame.”

The Demon King adored jewels, beautiful jade, and all things that shimmered and sparkled. Yet, in this world, he couldn’t find anything that outshone his own brilliance.

So, who could blame him for being a little narcissistic?

He was truly unparalleled in elegance and beauty, unmatched in the world.

He is the most carefree existence between heaven and earth.

_

The Dragon King of the East China Sea gazed at the receding red figure with a hint of longing, bidding a silent farewell to his cherished treasures. With a heavy heart, he turned to return to the depths of the sea. However, as he did so, a blinding golden light struck his eyes. Instinctively, he shielded his eyes with his sleeves.

The golden light was overwhelmingly intense. Though it was nighttime, this radiant light pierced the darkness, turning night into day. The Dragon King felt its searing heat, a burning sensation rivaling that of the Demon King’s flames.

Without pausing to investigate the source of the light, the Dragon King knew he had to act quickly. Any delay could mean his demise. He plunged into the sea, seeking refuge in its cool depths.

He had narrowly escaped the Red Lotus Karmic Fire, only to be confronted by this blazing golden light. Fortunately, neither source of intense heat unleashed its full fury. He had survived by a hair’s breadth.

In that moment, the Dragon King couldn’t fathom the origin of the golden light. All he knew was that he was grateful to be alive.

Every creature in the 6666th world turned their gaze eastward. This world experienced day and night, but it had no sun or moon.

This was the first sun they had ever seen rising from the sea.

The extraordinary golden light caught the attention of every being in the world, including Rong Yu.

He felt the golden light washing over him, triggering a sense of impending danger. Flames erupted around him.

Swiftly turning, he beheld a red sun ascending from the sea.

The Red Gold Sun, typically pure gold, was now tinged with crimson. The sea, recently scorched by the Red Lotus Karmic Fire, had painted the sky red, and this hue reflected onto the golden sun.

The overwhelming golden light transformed the red lotus into a golden lotus.

The two most brilliant and intense lights in the world intertwined, each reflecting the other.

All eyes turned eastward, but none dared to look directly at the sun.

Rong Yu, however, didn’t even blink.

He gazed directly at the red sun, the only entity in existence that could rival his own radiance. A slow smile spread across his lips.

“What a dazzling treasure,” Rong Yu murmured.

“I must take it back to the palace and cherish it.”

That day, the sun rose from the eastern sea, illuminating the world and captivating all who beheld it. But it didn’t ascend into the heavens.

Instead, it descended directly from the sky, landing beside the red lotus.

_

A handsome man with blond hair and golden eyes walked out of the golden light, like a god.

No, he was a god himself.

Rong Yu looked at the man a few steps away, and said with interest: “Which god are you in the sky? I have never seen you before.”

“Sun God, Yan Zhao.” The god opposite replied, five words exhausted thousands of words, and the golden pupils seemed to be filled with deep sea waves.

“Sun God? I’ve never heard of it. What is the sun? Is that golden fireball just now your body?” Rong Yu asked.

Yan Zhao stared at him for a while before answering: “Yes.”

After experiencing so many things and going back countless years, he finally came to Rong Yu at this moment.

Rong Yu’s soul lamp was extinguished, and the 6666 world was already a BE world, almost beyond redemption.

The criterion for judging the HE ending in the 6666 world is to let the Son of Destiny find true love. The official match given by fate is the princess of the Celestial Clan; Rong Yu should be with her.

The gods of the heavens are the guardian gods of this world, and the Emperor of Heaven knew about this, so he turned a blind eye to the devil who was harming the world.

The Son of Destiny, the future son-in-law, cannot touch him.

Unexpectedly, Rong Yu was indifferent to the princess of the Celestial Clan. The Space-Time Administration failed to match them up, so they decided to send a god to capture him. Anyway, the law stipulates that the demon king who doesn’t understand love needs to have a true love to be considered complete, and the identity of the true love doesn’t have to be so rigid.

But no one succeeded.

So Yan Zhao came in person.

At this point in time, Rong Yu’s soul lamp was still being guarded by all the gods in the heavens. What Yan Zhao had to do was not to protect the soul lamp from being extinguished, but to revive the soul lamp that had been extinguished in his hand.

This is the past; the soul lamp of the past is not extinguished, and it cannot save Rong Yu in the future. If Rong Yu has no future, this world will also stop forever at the moment it is frozen, and there will be no future.

He must become Rong Yu’s true love and try to see if he can use love to revive Rong Yu from the ashes.

But before coming, Yan Zhao also had the worst assumption.

Maybe it was precisely because he came to the past and got Rong Yu’s love that Rong Yu could no longer fall in love with others, which led to a series of tragedies.

Also, because his entire soul is here at this moment, the Lord God Yan Zhao in the Myriad Gods Realm at the same time closed his eyes and fell asleep. Just like when his entire soul traveled back to several punishment worlds, his body in the world of cultivating immortals also fell into a deep sleep under the peach blossom tree.

When he did not actively divide his soul, there could only be one him in the vast universe forever, and the other himself would have an out-of-body soul, which would lead to what he thought was “dozing and sleeping” before.

And because of that sleep, he missed the abnormality in the 6666 world, ignored Li Jin, and wronged Rong Yu.

This is a death ring; no matter how you solve it, the endpoint is Rong Yu’s soul extinction.

However, the Law of God did not say that Rong Yu had no hope of resurrection.

So, this life must exist.

To break the game, you must first enter the dead game.

This is the reason why he came here.

“I like you,” Rong Yu said bluntly.

He looked at Yan Zhao with his ruby-like eyes, and the red lotus between his eyebrows bloomed with extraordinary beauty.

When Yan Zhao first met him, it was after Rong Yu left the 6666th world, and he went to hunt him down. At that time, the mark between Rong Yu’s eyebrows was a flame, his pupils were black, and the tear mole at the corner of his eyes was not such a blood red.

The redder the Red Lotus Karmic Fire, the more powerful it is. Does this mean that Rong Yu’s power had weakened at that time?

As early as in the 6666th world, Rong Yu’s soul lamp suffered a catastrophe.

Yan Zhao’s chaotic thoughts hadn’t been sorted out yet, but he was stunned by Rong Yu’s “I like you.”

The devil doesn’t understand love, and his liking for Yan Zhao at this moment is no different from his liking for those treasures. But of course, he likes Yan Zhao the most – this is the most shining and dazzling treasure.

Rong Yu approached and hugged him as if hugging a treasure.

In such a posture of a little bird clinging to someone, Rong Yu rested his chin on Yan Zhao’s shoulder, but the words he uttered in his ear were extremely domineering: “I will take you back to my palace, and you are not allowed to shine on others, only me.”

He didn’t ask Yan Zhao if he agreed; he didn’t need to ask for an item’s opinion. Yan Zhao was not angry but felt that this hug was hard-won.

He said, “Okay.”

He couldn’t wish for more.

Rong Yu’s eyebrows and eyes curved, his expression joyful, and he grabbed his sleeve: “I like things that are obedient.”

Yan Zhao looked at the corner of his clothes and thought to himself, So be it. If being obedient can make you happy, then I’ll be obedient.

I’m begging you, please come back to me.

My guess is his lamp suffered when Yan Zhao had to leave, but should also be because he could saved the lamp he has… So at the end all was caused by time shenanigans till it formed a complete circle. Theory then: Th cause of everything is also the solution for everything.
