Little white ball’s body forcefully twisted, elongated and compressed for a long time, then he squeezed himself into a heart the size of a palm.

Fluttering its little wings, it fell into his hands and called Zhe-ge cheerfully.

Gu Yunzhe looked at it quietly for a while, then looked away silently.

Seeing that this trick didn’t work, Chu Shici was about to change his form.

The acid rain continued for a day and a night. The night walkers once again went out to play.

The giant rats and the nightwalkers had a clash suddenly and Chu Shici happened to stumble upon their clash.

The mutant rats’ secret level should be much higher than that of the night walkers who were carrying human heads.

However, he was proven wrong and the night walkers easily defeated the mutant rats.

Chu Shici still wanted to join in on the fun but was suddenly hugged from behind by the male lead.

Gu Yunzhe hugged him back up on the bed to sleep.

The current Chu Shici had already turned into his original spherical shape and was just the right size and shape to be treated as a bolster.

Chu Shici laid in the male lead’s arms, “Zhe-ge, don’t you think this world is a bit strange? It has monsters that came straight out form a horror film yet giant rats that seem to have come straight from a sci-fi film. There is also that black mist in the skies. I was thinking what exactly happened here, why is it so chaotic?”

“Not sure.”

“Do you feel better now? If you still feel sad, talk to me.”

Gu Yunzhe hummed and stopped responding.

Chu Shici waved his little fist in the air, “Zhe-ge, I think we must have met with an ambush previously. You lost your memory and I lost a lot of important data. Other than you, I don’t remember anyone or anything else.”

The room plunged into silence after that. After a while, a voice came from behind his back.

“Sorry.”

Chu Shici was silent, he didn’t expect that Gu Yunzhe would apologise for his data breach.

“It’s okay, it’s alright. You don’t have to feel sorry.”

He raised his head and was met with a pair of amber eyes.

In the previous world, Su Zheyan was originally set in an ABO world where he had blond hair, blue eyes.

In the second world, Mingzhe’s hair and eyes were both brown.

Chu Shici sank into deep thoughts.

Gu Yunzhe looked European but why does he have white hair and amber eyes?

Is it because of some mutation in genes caused by the apocalyptic nature of this novel?

Other than Gu Yunzhe, Chu Shici did not see any other normal human being hence he could not make a comparison.

But in the original novel, 5 years later, after the protagonist shou took the stage, the protagonist shou had black coloured hair and eyes. 

In the first 2 worlds, no matter how hay-wired the plot seemed, the novel setting was always logical.

After the plot started 5 years later, something must have happened to Gu Yunzhe. This change converted him from an ordinary agent to a ruler.

The next morning, the acid rain stopped. The streets were silent.

Today, Chu Shici seemingly gained a higher status and was carried out by the male lead.

Chu Shici hugged the protagonist closely, ‘Tong-ge, look. My husband carried me. This is called reciprocal love.’

In the newspaper, it wrote that it was printed on AD 1036, 1 Month, 1 Day.

The headline was what attracted his attention.

[This is a message from space: Friend or foe?]

The content was from a planet close to theirs. They sent out a message to the Empire and experts were hurriedly deciphering the content of the message broadcasted.

Below was the discussion of the netizens on this matter. They were split into 3 differing views.

Some felt that the aliens were friendly, others thought they were the enemies.

There are others who are just eating melons and watching the show.

The last section of the newspaper contained advertisements heavily focussed on sci-fi movie screening to entice people who are in this discussion.

After seeing some of the movie descriptions, Chu Shici felt moved. 

He wanted the system to search for the titles immediately as he wanted to watch <The seductive wife of the seven aliens> 

After putting the newspaper back, Chu Shici was going to continue browsing the contents of the drawer when Gu Yunzhe suddenly walked in.

He hugged Chu Shici and hid in a dark corner of the room. In his hand, held a dagger.

Chu Shici’s head was full of question marks.

Gu Yunzhe lowered his voice and said: “There’s someone here.”

“Someone? Alive?”

“En.”

In this place where even birds don’t shit, there actually is a living person here.

Chu Shici was feeling a bit anxious, “Do you think it’s those people from the alliance who wants to capture you alive?”

Gu Yunzhe was stunned by how direct he was, “Not sure.”

They were also wearing red as blood cloak with an image that looks like a map on the centre of their cloak, where, upon closer inspection is actually an image of a burning log.

There were a total of seven people. All of them were walking in a line, with the person leading the team holding an infant, murmuring some chants under their breaths.

As he was too far away, Chu Shici could not hear properly.

But he can make out what seems to be prayers to a divine deity.

Gu Yunzhe slowly left his hiding spot and walked towards the drawer.

The combat watch that he always wore suddenly flickered with a faint red light.

He touched the screen and saw a new message.

[Searching database…]

[Friendly faction: Blood alliance meeting.]

[Blood alliance believes that human sacrifice is the only way to connect us to the divine. After sacrificing a total of 357 humans, they have succeeded. (provided by the Human Freedom Alliance)]

Because he did not have enough clearance, Gu Yunzhe could only see parts of the message.

And the message above left him at a loss.

Just then, the little assistant that was just a puddle of water previously turned back into a solid ball.

The ball carried the fallen wooden stick on the ground and with a ‘woosh!’ flew out.

Gu Yunzhe carried his dagger tightly in one hand and followed the little assistant.

The street which was previously empty, currently has a bunch of candles lit up in a circle.

In the middle of the circle laid the infant who was still sleeping soundly. The people from  the Blood Alliance raised their dagger high up in the air, preparing for a fatal strike towards her neck.

Seeing this, Gu Yunzhe was hit with a sudden pain in his head.

Scenes of chaos and mess appeared in his brian as a scream filled with despair and hopelessness pierced through the air. 

He held on to a nearby street lamp post and held his throbbing head.

Those memories which trickled into his brain were scattered and unclear, all he saw was blurs of red, dark red like blood, an entire sky filled with red, a ground littered with lifeless bodies.

All around him stood vague figures, they looked to be wearing a bird beaked mask, they were getting closer, their chants were getting louder.

At first, Chu Shici was still pondering why on earth people from the Blood Alliance were carrying an infant around.

Then when they drew their knife and aimed at the infant, he reacted.

This posture, this action, all so familiar.

When he was little, he used to go to his Grandma’s house on the farm. When his Grandma had raised her knife to kill the chicken for bloodletting, this was exactly how she did dit.

As he was about to watch this infant’s bloodletting ritual, Chu Shici flew over and hit the person holding the knife with his stick.

That hit he landed was brutal, the person leading the alliance did not even let out a single sound, but instantly collapsed to the ground.

This happened all too sudden and the other 6 people in the alliance stopped chanting abruptly and stared unwaveringly at Chu Shici.

When they saw it was a little white ball, they instantly drew out their guns.

Chu Shici immediately went to the corner to hide, but the gun wasn’t even aimed at him.

Following the sound of the gun, all 6 committed suicide.

Chu Shici still had his stick raised, at a complete loss of words.

There came footsteps behind him and he turned around and saw the male lead was slowly walking towards him.

His face seemed  to be even more pale than the last time he had seen him.

Chu Shici tossed his wooden stick and described what happened in detail to Gu Yunzhe.

Gu Yunzhe tied up the guy who was knocked unconscious and went to take a look at the infant.

Upon closer inspection, he found out that the infant wasn’t actually sleeping but was already deceased.

Someone had written ‘803’ on his body in blood.

Gu Yunzhe found a box from somewhere and put the sleeping child into the box. He placed a few sweets he got from the supermarket on the box.

Even though the sweets have already expired, in the apocalyptic world, this was what he usually ate as well.

Chu Shici gently touched the child’s face and placed a piece of white rabbit candy in his mouth.

Above him, he could hear Gu Yunzhe murmuring, “I’ve always felt that the world shouldn’t be like this.”

Chu Shici floated over and gave him a hug.

He hoped what the male lead said was real.

Because he could not figure out why everyone from the Blood Alliance committed suicide, Chu Shici was left scratching his head.

When they were about to reach the residential buildings, Chu Shici turned his head only to find that the 6 bodies had mysteriously and unknowingly disappeared into thin air.

It was late at night when the man regained consciousness.

Hiis mask had already been taken down by Gu Yunzhe and it revealed a handsome face.

Chu Shici took a cursory look over the people from the Blood Alliance before and all seven of them had black coloured hair and eyes.

Only Gu Yunzhe had a white coloured hair.

All those people committed suicide after seeing this little white ball.

After the little lesson just now, Chu Shici dared not rush out again.

He shrank to a size smaller than a thumb and hung on the male lead’s ear as an accessory.

Similar to the 2 previous male leads, this 3.0 version of his husband does not like to talk.

Gu Yunzhe stared at the man coldly and held his dagger against the man’s neck.

2 pairs of eyes met each other head on and the air around them seemed to buzz with electricity.

Chu Shici smacked the earlobe in front of him and whispered urgently: “I’m curious to death! Ask him why they committed suicide after seeing me!”

When Gu Yunzhe relayed Chu Shici’s words, the man’s eyes widened in fear, “You mentioned a white ball, you have the white ball on you right now! Where’s my mask?! Return my mask to me! Quickly!”

The man was tied up by the rope tightly and couldn’t break free, Gu Yunzhe held the mask in his hand and dangled it in front of him.

“Answer the question first.”

The man buried his head in the dust covered quilt.

“Those spheres will transmit a virus. They will spray out various kinds of toxic fumes, these fumes will cause human bodies to rot. Please, I beg you. Please, return the mask to me. Or kill me. I don’t want to be tortured alive. To rot alive, that’s truly the most terrifying thing.”

Chu Shici was stunned, “There are other spheres?”

“There’s a lot of them. Everywhere. Of every colour and size. We can’t even buy a proper ventilation mask. We only have this.”

“What were you doing just now? What kind of God are you inviting? What disaster did this world experience?”

“We were only begging God for His forgiveness! It’s over. I’ve already inhaled so much toxic fumes, God will no longer protect me anymore!”

The man began to sound more and more anxious, at last, he bashed his head against the wall.

Gu Yunzhe knelt beside the wall and some of the blood splattered on his white coloured hair.

A trace of sadness flashed past his amber eyes. He picked up the man and laid him on the bed, covering him with the blanket.

Chu Shici sighed.

He came down from the male lead’s earlobe and returned to the original sized white ball.

“This is also the first time I was aware I can actually spray out toxic fumes. Where is it? I don’t even know how to do it. In the original configuration, it’s only said “I have a healing potion.”

After saying this, Chu Shici paused. 

Little angel model can spray out healing potions while others could only spray out toxic fumes.

He is Gu Yunzhe’s combat partner and Gu Yunzhe is Human Freedom Allaince’s agent.

Hopelessness locked him in, surrounded by four high walls, he could not get out no matter how hard he tried.
