Arc 6: 28 chapters
___
After the file was downloaded, the system began to read the plot out to Chu Shici.
The world he entered this time was a Western fantasy novel.
The male protagonist Ji Huaizhe had a car accident and accidentally traveled to a different world.
The story takes place on the continent of Saint-Cherry, where the largest kingdom in this world believes in the goddess of light, who is the sworn enemy of the goddess of death that the sorcerers believe in.
In order to consolidate his rule, the new king launched a witch hunt. In less than a hundred years, mages have become a rare sight.
The male protagonist was also hunted at that time. In order to exchange the sorcerer’s head for a bounty, a bunch of witch hunters chased him, wanting to chop his head off.
The male protagonist, who was originally pure, warm and friendly, turned completely dark after seeing his friends burned alive and his mentor killed by an ice arrow.
The earlier chapters of the original novel follows the male protagonist’s gradual change from a kind and enthusiastic little sun to a cruel and bloodthirsty demon step by step.
The later parts of the novel followed no moral bounds and was a complete feel good novel. After occupying the Holy Continent, the male protagonist begins to conquer the world.
No matter if it was the elves, orcs or angels, he would destroy them one by one. He kills, seizes treasures, and then forcibly brings all the beautiful women into his harem.
Just throwing them away after playing with them once and has no humanity whatsoever.
In the finale, after the male protagonist conquered the world, everyone crawled at his feet and worshiped him as the king.
Chu Shici took some time to briefly read the original novel. The book could be summarized in two sentences.
‘Destruction! ’ and ‘Harem!’
Chu Shici felt that this kind of script was too difficult for Zhe-ge.
Zhe-ge has no desire to conquer the world, and he doesn’t like women. He is a gay man who has self-control.
The system shows that the male protagonist’s current vitality value is 5 points. Since it is not in the negatives, it would means that he has not completely blackened.
Chu Shici was deep in thought when someone suddenly grabbed his head and picked him up.
He was startled, his body swayed and he looked up.
The man who called him ugly wore a goat skull mask on his head. Chu Shici couldn’t see his face, only a pair of scarlet eyes and long black hair.
Seeing that he was moving, the man put him in his hands and played with him.
He touched Chu Shici very carefully, touching all over Chu Shici’s body. Chu Shici hadn’t figured out who the man was yet, and he didn’t want to be touched like this by someone other than Zhe-ge.
When the man was about to touch him for the second time, Chu Shici pushed hard on the fingers pressing against his chest.
The man’s pale index finger didn’t move at all, while he lay in the man’s hand, breathing heavily from exhaustion. The man seemed to laugh, the sound was very soft, perhaps he had misheard.
After studying him for a while, the man quickly lost interest in him.
A woman’s voice came from outside: “Ji! The teacher is looking for you. He has something very important and wants you to come over to take a look quickly!”
The voice interrupted the man’s train of thought. He threw Chu Shici into a bamboo basket and turned to leave the room.
The wooden door closed and the room fell into silence.
Chu Shici rubbed his head, got up and looked around.
As far as his eyes could see is a bunch of large and small dolls. They are made of yarn and come in different colors, but all of them are ugly.
Chu Shici had seen this kind of thing before.
When he was in elementary school, there were a lot of them in the jewelry store near school, and they seemed to be called voodoo dolls*. They cost five yuan each and come in all different styles.

It was very popular among girls for a while. They would hang the dolls on their school bags as accessories. Some people will also take tutorials found on the Internet, hoping that the doll will protect them from failing the exam.
Chu Shici also followed suit, but he had no money and his dolls were all found from rummaging through the trash can. He also made a wish before and told the doll that he wanted to have meat to eat every day.
Chu Shici resold the doll and made two and a half yuan, discovering a business opportunity.
He began to use yarn at home to customize the dolls according to the requirements of his female classmates. A doll costs seven yuan, and business is very good. After the teacher confiscated the yarn, the small shop he ran without a license closed down.
Chu Shici clasped his hands behind his back and walked around among the dolls a few times, shaking his head in disgust.
These dolls are neither cute nor scary, just plain ugly. The people who made them were incredibly poor at their craftsmanship.
Chu Shici expend some effort to climb out of the bamboo basket. Standing on the edge of the bamboo basket, he reluctantly jumped onto a wooden table nearby.
There is a book and an open notebook on the table. The man wearing the goat skull mask should have been taking notes. The lid of the ink bottle was not screwed on, and the quill was casually put aside.
He doesn’t know if it is because his body is too small or the notebook is too thick. Chu Shici stood next to the notebook, stretching his neck out, yet could barely make out a few words clearly.
He simply climbed onto the notebook and read the notes as he walked.
The masked man just started learning to make witchcraft dolls, of which voodoo dolls are a type of witchcraft doll.
Judging from the notes, the voodoo dolls in this world are different from those Chu Shici saw when he was a child.
It is recorded in the “Origin of All Gods” in the Holy Continent that sorcerers are the followers of the goddess of death, and the witchcraft dolls are the attendants given by her to her believers.
When a little sorcerer reaches adulthood, they can make their own witchcraft doll. All they need to do is to put the finished doll into the formation, and there is a certain chance of summoning a dead soul to take over the doll.
If they choose to sign a master-servant contract, the doll will become the sorcerer’s most loyal attendant.
The notes also mentioned that a sorcerer can only have one doll attendant in their life, so they should consider carefully before signing a contract.
The more powerful the undead soul inhabiting the doll is, the more powerful the doll becomes.
Chu Shici remembered that in the original text, the male protagonist had a doll brother. The evil doll was a priest when he was alive. Then, he took advantage of his status and used the blood of nuns to make potions. When his misdeeds were exposed, he was burned to death.
He is good at making all kinds of illicit potions, and has provided a lot of help for the blackened male protagonist to conquer the world and all the beautiful women.
Chu Shici remembered that the woman outside just now called the masked man “Ji”, and at the same time, remembered that the system had told him that the male protagonist’s name was Ji Huaizhe.
So the person who called him ugly was Zhe-ge?
Looking around, he saw a simple black round mirror on the table.
Chu Shici ran over, stood on his tiptoe and took a look, and almost cried because of his ugliness.
In the mirror is a palm-sized voodoo doll, its body made of pure black yarn, and its eyes are inlaid with two equally black beads.
He has no neck, and has a short body beneath his big round head. The person who made him didn’t make him any clothes, and he didn’t have any other color except black.
From a distance, he looks like a block of coal.
Chu Shici was lying on the table doubting life, and the system comforted him: [What’s wrong with being ugly? You have a pair of hands and feet. This is much better than the last world.]
‘Although I had no arms or legs in the last world, at least I was still a very good-looking and a beautiful speaker.’
[Actually, I think you are much prettier than the ones in the basket. At least your limbs are where they should be, your eyes are at the same height, and your facial features are not flying around everywhere.]
Chu Shici turned around in front of the mirror a few times and tried a few actions. He found that this ugly doll turned out to be very cute when it moved.
He likes it!

After talking to the teacher, Ji Huaizhe returned to his dormitory.
Lured in by the bounty, the witch hunters have crossed the swamps and entered the Erya Mountains. In two or three months, they will reach the sorcerer academy.
The principal has united with the nearby orc tribe and summoned all senior students to prepare for the incoming crisis.
Although there are more than a thousand sorcerers in the entire academy and ordinary witch hunting groups are no match for them at all. A strong uneasiness always lingered in Ji Huaizhe’s heart.
A big crisis is coming, and it’s time for him to make a contract with his own evil spirit servant.
Pushing open the bedroom door, Ji Huaizhe sat on the recliner, picked up a ball of yarn and started working.
He had just knitted a few times when a man’s questioning voice suddenly sounded not far away, “What are you doing?”
Ji Huaizhe raised his head and looked around. He was the only one in the dormitory.
He tapped the ground with his wand, and a dark red circle of light quickly spread on the ground. After the red light covered the entire room, it retracted back into the wand.
The outsider was not detected using his magic, so Ji Huaizhe got up and looked for the source of the sound in the house.
Chu Shici sat on the table and looked at him blankly, ‘Tong-ge, what is he looking for?’
[Probably looking for you.]
‘Aren’t I just sitting here?’
Chu Shici raised his head, ‘Is the goat skull mask too big? Is it blocking his line of sight?’
He waved to the man: “Here! I’m over here!”
Hearing the voice again, Ji Huaizhe turned around warily, and his wand gradually emitted a scarlet light.
The red light illuminated the dim room, and he vaguely saw a dark figure jumping around on the table.
Ji Huaizhe hit the dark shadow with his wand, and the dark shadow fell to the ground with a thud. When he got to the table, he realized it was his voodoo doll.
This doll is so dark that you can’t even see it without turning on the light.
Holding the doll’s head with two fingers, Ji Huaizhe lowered his eyes and looked at it carefully: “You can talk.”
The little doll nodded and spoke in a clear and lively male voice, “Hello, my name is Chu Shici, you can call me Ah Ci. Mr. Sorcerer, are you the one who woke me up from my deep sleep?”
Ji Huaizhe ignored his question, repeated the name again, and asked in a cold tone: “I have never heard of your name. What do you know?”
The little doll said nothing, Ji Huaizhe frowned slightly: “You don’t know anything?”
Chu Shici poked at the system wildly, asking it to buy a plugin for him.
The system did not expect that this world would give him such a big test when he first came into being, so it took its wallet and hurried out the door.
Ji Huaizhe waited for a while and found that the doll didn’t respond, so he wanted to throw him back into the basket.
The little doll refused to go back down and hugged his fingers, refusing to let go.
Ji Huaizhe forcibly pulled it off and stuffed it into the pile of dolls. He had just walked a few steps when he heard the sound of items falling behind him.
The bamboo basket is placed on a shelf some distance from the ground. The doll seemed to have fallen and couldn’t get up for a long time.
Ji Huaizhe tapped him with his magic wand, “I don’t need a useless waste of a doll.”
The voodoo doll was very angry. He only saw a small black figure running out of the shadows and kicked his boots menacingly.
Then the little thing raised its head, as if it had said something to him.
Ji Huaizhe is 1.9 meters tall and wore high-heeled leather boots to attend the celebration today. While that doll is no bigger than a palm.
The distance was too far for him to hear anything clearly and he had no interest in listening.
After making sure that the evil spirit summoned into the doll’s body would not pose a threat to him, Ji Huaizhe left him alone.
He returned to the sofa and continued to knit, the little doll crawled all the way up to him along his robes. He sat down on his lap in a familiar manner and leaned over to watch him work.
Ji Huaizhe was thinking while knitting.
He remembered that the book said that only evil spirits could be summoned into these witchcraft dolls. They were evil, cruel and extremely aggressive. A contract needs to be signed before they can be used by the sorcerer.
But this doll clearly didn’t sign a contract with him, so why is it so close to him?
Ji Huaizhe was deep in thought when the doll on his lap suddenly said in surprise: “Are you making a voodoo doll?”
Ji Huaizhe hummed in replied.
“Damn it, so it is my fault that you’re so ugly?”
Chu Shici: …
This is a big problem.

T/N: Before I started this part, I didn’t realize there are so many types of magical people: wizards, warlocks, sorcerers, mages, enchanters etc.
Not sure if I will use these terms but for clarification: Mages are people who practice magic and use magic; magicians. Wizards are people who have innate powers but use more refined, textbook spells. Sorcerers are wizards but they study black magic. Warlocks are people who got their powers through contracts with demons. Enchanters are mages who specialize in enchantments.
