Recap
The next second, formations appeared one after another on the originally clean floor. Vine after vine emerged from the floor and instantly wrapped around Ji Huaizhe’s limbs, hanging him in the air.
Chu Shici was rolled out of the sorcerer’ robes by the vines and brought to the priest’s doll.
Vicent raised his head and stretched out his arm to him: “Stop playing tricks, now is the time for you and me to duel.”
Chu Shici looked at Zhe-ge.
Ji Huaizhe’s face was horribly gloomy, the muscles on his body were constantly tightening, and the vines creaked.
Chu Shici had a plan in mind.
Zhe-ge is on his side. This is not a one-on-one duel, but a two-on-one duel.
___
The vines swept the wand away and covered his mouth. He couldn’t cast spells and it took him a while to break free.
The system probes looked around, and shouted excitedly, [Fuck! It’s vine play!]
After shouting, it realized that this was not CP it was supporting. The system turned around and told Chu Shici seriously: [My treasure, learn magic well in order to satisfy your sexual fetish.]
Chu Shici was struggling with the vines, “What’s the point of me studying? I’m a power 0. But Zhe-ge should be able to, let him take me to play when the time comes, hehe!’
[Hehe!]
The imagination was so beautiful that Chu Shici couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
Vicente, who was maintaining the formation, asked suspiciously: “Why are you laughing?”
“I thought of something happy. In fact, there is no need for us to duel. He has already made up his mind.”
Vicente stared at him with beady eyes, “Already?”
“It happened during dinner. Zhe-ge decided that I will be his evil spirit servant. There is no point in killing me because he will not choose you anyways.”
Vicente sneered: “Who said so? Do you have some misunderstanding about sorcerers?”
Using vines to control one person and one doll, the priest felt that he had a chance to win.
He was not in a hurry to start, but raised his head arrogantly with his hands behind his back: “Sorcerers are believers of the goddess of death. They gain their strength from despair and pain. Didn’t you go out with him today? Didn’t you see what the sorcerers ate?”
Of course Chu Shici saw it.
Bread for breakfast, roast meat at noon and butterfingers at night.
Are those real fingers?
Vicente looked at the sorcerer who was tightly entangled by vines, with only a pair of eyes exposed.
“They replenish their energy by devouring human flesh. When a sorcerer takes in an apprentice, the sorcerer will often cook the apprentice’s entire family. Eating the flesh and blood of their closest relatives will make them stronger.”
Chu Shici was shocked.
In the original novel, the male protagonist also ate people, but he thought it was because the male protagonist had already been blackened that he did this.
So at noon, Lilith ate three large plates of barbecue, was it also made of human flesh?
Chu Shici recalled carefully and remembered that Zhe-ge did not eat meat. Apart from a few pieces of bread in the morning, all he ate throughout the day was salad greens.
Chewing grass every day, no wonder Zhe-ge is so thin. Truly distressing.
In the next few days, Chu Shici plans to pursuade Zhe-ge to go to the woods to hunt a rabbit, and make roast rabbit meat to supplement Zhe-ge’s diet.
The vines tightened and the sorcerer’s struggle became smaller and smaller, and finally there was no movement.
Chu Shici looked back nervously.
Dark green vines twisted into a huge cocoon, and through the gaps in the vines, he saw a pair of scarlet eyes full of murderous intent.
He doesn’t know if he was reading too much into it, but the moment the two looked at each other, his eyes seemed to soften for a moment, as if he was silently comforting him.
Father Vicente did not notice their little movement.
He chanted quickly, and a golden formation gradually appeared under Chu Shici’s feet.
The moment he was illuminated by the formation’s light, Chu Shici felt a warmth, as if bright sunshine was shining on him.
Holy light illuminated the dim dormitory. Ji Huaizhe, who was trapped in the vines, stopped breathing when he saw this scene.
He seemed to have been hit hard, and his mind went blank.
He recognized this formation. This is the Holy Light Array, which clergies often used to burn evil spirits and witches to death.
Ji Huaizhe couldn’t make any sound as his mouth was tightly covered by vines. The corner of his eyes gradually turned red, and tears accumulated in his red eyes.
Ji Huaizhe has always been lonely, and no one has ever cared about him. The little doll was the only friend he made in this strange world.
Now his friend was going to be burned to death.
There were waves of voices ringing in his ears, sometimes far away and sometimes close, the voices were overlapping in a way so vague that he couldn’t hear them clearly.
Ji Huaizhe felt that it was very noisy.
He was too busy casting spells trying to break free to listen to what the voices were saying.
No one paid attention to the voices, but the sound got louder and louder, until finally it seemed like a group of people were whispering in his ears.
They’re saying, “I’m so hungry, I really want to eat.”
___
Vicente stood far away from the formation, looking at the holy light in the distance in amusement.
The Holy Light Array is the nemesis of evil spirits and can directly burn them to death.
Although his current size can only draw a simplified version of the holy light formation, it is more than enough to burn a small, defenseless evil spirit to death.
Looking at the dark coloured doll is completely shrouded in golden light. Vicente never wanted a fair fight.
He looked through the sorcerer’s notes and found the formations required for the contract ceremony.
The formation has already been drawn on the floor in advance. All he needs to do is to get a drop of the sorcerer’s blood, drip it on himself, and let the sorcerer recite a few spells, and the contract ceremony is over.
The priest picked up the small blade and prepared to jump on the vine to get blood from the sorcerer.
As soon as his threaded foot stepped forward, he suddenly realized that something was wrong.
The expected screams of pain from his competitor did not appear, and the room was eerily silent.
He was just about to see what was going on over there, when the vines entangling the sorcerer were suddenly ignited by flames.
A huge fire snake flew out from the cocoon and rushed straight towards the priest doll on the desk.
Vicente quickly awakened the defensive formation he had drawn before, and a blue water shield rose from under his feet, blocking the fire snakes from the inside.
The cocoon not far away was burned to ashes in the blink of an eye and a long-haired man stepped out of the flames, looking straight at the priest with his scarlet eyes.
His sorcerer robes were torn into rags by the spikes on the vines, revealing his pale, bloodless skin. Thin black lines appeared on the man’s naked body.
The moment their eyes met, Vicente could tell that the sorcerer wanted to kill him.
He no longer cared to think about how the sorcerer could recite and cast spells when he had lost his wand and was gagged.
While controlling the formation to protect himself from the fire, Vicente said respectfully: “Sir, that evil spirit has been burned to death by the holy light. From now on, I will be your loyal servant!”
Ji Huaizhe remained silent. He came to the table in a few steps and directly put his hand into the formation that was still emitting golden light.
The holy light will cause damage to all dark creatures. As soon as their fingers touch the golden light, they will feel a strong burning sensation, as if their hand is dipped directly into a pan of hot oil.
Seeing his actions, the priest frowned in confusion: “Sir, if you didn’t mean for us to kill each other, why did you let me out of the drawer this morning?”
“You didn’t cover the ink bottle and left a lighter weight on the paper. Didn’t you take him out today to let him imitate defensive spells in order to prepare for tonight’s decisive battle?”
Listening to his words, Ji Huaizhe’s eyes flashed with confusion.
Ignoring the priest, he passed through the holy light formation and took out the doll trapped inside.
The originally lively little baby was now lying quietly and motionless in his hand.
Ji Huaizhe pursed his lips tightly and pressed his fingertips lightly on the doll’s chest, trying to save him.
After finally extinguishing the snake made of fire, the priest who was about to come over to get the drop of blood froze on the spot.
He seemed to have seen the sorcerer shed tears just now?
Vicente looked up and saw that Ji Huaizhe had a cold expression and hostile eyes, he could not see the slightest hint of sadness.
He looked at the sorcerer and then at the droplets of water on the table, and felt that they were not tears, but sweat beads.
When the resuscitation failed, Ji Huaizhe picked up the doll and put it to his lips.
His thin lips were pressed up against the voodoo doll, and he slowly guided the power in his body into the doll, trying to repair the soul that was gravely injured by the holy light.
At the same time, Chu Shici, who was supposed to be half-dead, was looking at them in confusion.
___
Chu Shici didn’t understand what had happened.
After agreeing to a duel, the priest pranced around and activated a golden formation, trapping him inside.
The temperature in the dormitory is very low, and the light from this formation is like a little sun, shining warmly on his body.
Even though it was pretty comfortable, but Chu Shici didn’t understand what was happening.
Didn’t they agree to fight? Why was he locked up with a little sun?
The golden light was too dazzling and he couldn’t see clearly.
Chu Shici and the system were confused. This was a really boring duel.
There was a fight outside, which sounded exciting.
During the fight he heard the priest say a bunch of things.
To summarize, Chu Shici understands that the reason why the priest doll had set up a trap for a sneak attack was because Ji Huaizhe gave him a hint that they should kill each other so that the winner would have a chance to become his servant.
Chu Shici didn’t believe it.
What a joke, Zhe-ge’s honest brain, there is no way he will ever think of such underhand tricks.
The priest was lying, but Chu Shici didn’t understand why he was lying.
Chu Shici sat in the golden light for a long time, and a strong arm stretched in. It was Zhe-ge who had broken away from the vines and came to save him.
He was still thinking about what happened just now, but when he saw Zhe-ge wiping tears while looking at him with red eyes as if he was frightened.
Chu Shici’s mind was filled with so many questions.
He didn’t know what just happened, but Ji Huaizhe, who was not very familiar with him, suddenly held him in his arms and started kissing him.
Soft, cold lips pressed against his head, and a stream of coldness penetrated into his body.
Chu Shici also wanted to kiss his husband.
He subtly turned his head and directed his newly sewn mouth at Zhe-ge’s lips.
When Ji Huaizhe found that the doll was moving, his breathing was erratic for a moment. He thought that it was the healing magic that had taken effect, and his body that had been tense slowly relaxed.
Vicente held the blade and stood at the side watching the sorcerer inject his powers into the little doll.
“It’s useless. The evil spirit in the doll has been burned to death by the holy light. Sir, don’t waste your magic powers anymore.”
Vicente stretched out his arm, “You need me to prove my strength, and now I have shown you my strength. I am willing to be your loyal servant and will always be by your side.”
Chu Shici kissed Zhe-ge one-sidedly, vigorously.
When he heard the priest’s voice, he was reminded that they had a piece of trash watching the show.
He raised his little knitted arm and pushed against Ji Huaizhe’s lips. The soft and moist feeling came from his hands, and Chu Shici’s heartbeat accelerated uncontrollably.
If no one interrupted them, he really wanted to continue pretending to be dead and let Zhe-ge kiss him more.
Reluctantly taking back his arm, Chu Shici stood up and looked at the priest doll.
Vicente’s light formation has never failed. He looked at the lively little doll blankly, “Why are you still alive?”
Chu Shici didn’t quite understand, “What is your definition of evil spirit?”
“The undead summoned from the underworld.”
Chu Shici understood at once.
The priest thought he was an evil spirit and prepared formations which are able to deal with evil spirits.
But he was directly transmitted by the system and is not an evil spirit at all. All attacks against evil spirits are ineffective against him.
Chu Shici thought for two seconds, looked at the astonished priest, and then at Zhe-ge’s worried eyes, and an idea suddenly popped into his head.
He covered his chest and curled up, pretending to be in pain.
Ji Huaizhe, who had been looking down at the little doll, held him in his hands and continued to heal him.
Chu Shici struggled to push him away, “No, Zhe-ge, using your magic powers to heal an evil spirit is not good for you.”
Ji Huaizhe frowned slightly, and his tone was as cold as ever, “It won’t affect me. I’ll be able to make up for the magic power lost after I eat him.”
Vicente: …?
When Chu Shici heard this, he immediately became awake.
He pointed at the priest doll and complained, “Ge, kill him quickly. If you don’t do it, I will do it myself.”
Before Ji Huaizhe could say anything, the voodoo doll jumped out of his hand, conjured up three small fireballs, and threw them at the priest doll.
The priest doll raised a water shield to block it, and Chu Shici’s small flame was extinguished instantly.
Seeing this, Ji Huaizhe picked up his wand from the burnt vines. He aimed at the priest doll and was about to recite a spell when a formation suddenly lit up at his feet and enveloped him again.
Ice arrows shot out from the formation and stabbed into Ji Huaizhe’s body.
While avoiding the ice arrows, he frowned in thought.
He could break free from ordinary vines with brute force, yet it seems that these vines were extremely tough and could even suppress magic power.
Only a high-level wood formation can summon these vines.
The ice arrows in front of him have also reached the strength that only a mid-level water formation can summon.
How can the priest who resides in a little doll no bigger than a palm be able to draw so many high-level formations in one day?
He didn’t know how many more murderous formations were hidden around him. After dealing with the ice arrows, Ji Huaizhe concentrated on chanting a spell.
As he chanted, scarlet light emitted from the tip of the wand.
The moment the high-level detection spell was completed, red light illuminated the entire room, detecting all formations in the room.
He turned his head and looked around, a strong sense of crisis welling up in his heart.
The small dormitory was densely filled with countless magic arrays. Roughly counting, there are at least hundreds of formations.
If all of these formations are activated, this place will be Ji Huaizhe, a newly fledged sorcerer’s final resting place.
Two little dolls were fighting on the table. The dark coloured doll sat on top of the priest doll and slapped him on the head, hard.
Ji Huaizhe held down the priest doll with his left hand, and held the wand against his head with his right hand, “You drew all of these formations?”
There was a trace of confusion in the priest doll’s eyes, but he quickly realized that this was an opportunity, “It’s me.”
Chu Shici kept staring at his competitor, and when he heard this, he kicked him hard, “You lied! I can see it!”
The lie was exposed, and when he saw that he was about to be killed by the sorcerer, the priest took out his last life-saving card.
When Ji Huaizhe wanted to get rid of the priest, the priest’s body made of yarn suddenly burst into flames.
Ji Huaizhe was forced to take a step back. Chu Shici hid in Zhe-ge’s hand and looked out.
He hissed, why is this fire black?
The fire engulfed the priest doll, and the smell of burning hair spread throughout the house.
Vicente’s screams came out from the flames, making people feel goosebumps all over.
When the doll was burned to ashes by the fire, the evil spirit residing in the doll floated out from the ashes and suddenly flew to the wall, trying to escape through the wall.
The flame was very special. Normally, the evil spirit can not leave the area where their doll was, but the fire severed the connection between the priest’s soul and the doll.
Chu Shici was very anxious.
Zhe-ge needed to chant a spell to capture the evil spirit. But, by the time he finished chanting, the priest had disappeared.
He mudged the system, [Don’t be stunned, Tong-ge, release my soul quickly! If I don’t kill him today, my fucking surname will not be Chu!]
Ji Huaizhe had never seen black flames before. As a human, he is not able to touch the souls, so he could only chant quicker, trying to add a buff to himself quickly.
At this moment, the little doll in his hand fell softly and a man’s soul emerged from his doll’s body and rushed straight towards the priest.
Half of Vicente’s body was already burrowed into the wall. Before he could escape, he was forcefully pulled into the dormitory again.
The plan failed completely, and Vicente was a little doubtful about life. He turned his head, and found that it was a strange soul that had caught him.
The soul had the appearance of a blond-haired man, with bright eyes, a handsome face and a slender figure. He was so beautiful that the priest couldn’t take his eyes away for a moment.
If it wasn’t a matter of life and death, the priest wouldn’t mind chatting with this rare beauty.
The beauty smiled ferociously at him, grabbed his collar, and punched him twice in the face.
The priest struggled desperately, but the seemingly fragile beauty was surprisingly strong.
The two souls fought each other fiercely but the priest was no match for Chu Shici.
After realizing that Vicente could not be killed with fists alone, Chu Shici opened his mouth and bit down hard on Vicente’s shoulder.
Zhe-ge will eat the eliminated evil spirit and convert him into his own magic power.
Severe pain came from the wound, and the priest shivered in pain.
He has never been so aggrieved in his life.
Vicente thought he could escape by abandoning the body of the voodoo doll.
Sorcerers and magicians alike have a fatal flaw, which is that it takes them time to cast spells.
Low-level spell chanting takes 3-5 seconds, while high-level spells take about 10 seconds. Vicente was betting on that 10 seconds.
But he never expected that an evil spirit would suddenly appear.
By the time Ji Huaizhe finished reciting the spell and adding a buff that can enable him to touch the soul, the priest was already bitten by Chu Shici and was on the verge of death.
Chu Shici tried to take another bite but found it impossible to swallow, and spit it out.
Ji Huaizhe walked over and grabbed the priest’s neck, “Who made these formations? Is there anyone behind you?”
The priest had long lost his previous calmness. He opened his mouth as if to say something, and his bloodshot eyes moved slightly.
Ji Huaizhe looked towards the direction of his line of sight and saw the cabinet standing quietly in the corner.
No matter how much he pressed after that, the priest refused to say a word. His expression was painful, as if someone had cast a silencing spell on him.
Confirming that the priest had lost all value, Ji Huaizhe opened his mouth and took a deep breath. The soul of the priest gradually turned into ashes and was swallowed by him.
After getting rid of the priest, Ji Huaizhe stood up.
He doesn’t know who drew more than a hundred formations in the dormitory, and there may be a bigger crisis hidden in the cabinet.
This is not a good place to stay for a long time. He held onto the soul floating on the side and quickly left the dormitory.
After he found an empty and safe room to hide in, Ji Huaizhe finally had the time to look at the soul beside him.
Although the little dark coloured doll he made was ugly, the evil spirit inhabiting the doll is a beautiful man.
Having just experienced a crisis, the two looked at each other in silence for a long time.
With his lover so close at hand, Chu Shici, who had a rare chance to come out, wanted to enjoy the moment for a while.
After they calmed down, he tapped the man’s chest with his fingertips and looked up at Ji Huaizhe with a gentle smile.
The tips of Ji Huaizhe’s ears turned slightly red, and then he frowned.
The soul does look better than the doll he made, but it is inconvenient to carry around.
Chu Shici was about to continue teasing him, when Ji Huaizhe took a step back and pointed to the little doll, he said in a flat tone: “Go in.”
He paused and repeated, “Go back into the doll.”
Chu Shici: …
Okay. Don’t beg me to come out again.
